Description: The Bubble (NGO) organises a non-profit weekend Festival at the end of Summer (September) to celebrate life. The concept of the Bubble Festival concerns our very own lives – the familiar and comfortable world that we surround ourselves with, the people we know, the environments we are used to and the routines that we tend to settle into. Sweeping you out of the city and into a stunning green environ- ment, The Bubble sets out to create an atmosphere of learning, creativity, fun, relaxation, charity, sharing of new ideas and awaken- ings to what’s going on outside your Bubble!

Tasks

 

The Bubble Environmental Policy  

  1. Reduce packaging at source. Discard all excess before arriving on site.
  2. Everything is compostable! Cups(yes cups!), plates and food into compost!
  3. Bring your own container/flask/mug for food and drinks.
  4. Use the right bins. Your resources will be recycled and reused!
  5. Cigarette ends go into the butt bins!
  6. Plastic or glass bottles are not permitted to be brought on site.
  7. All cleaning or washing products used on site must be biodegradable.
  8. Any used water only goes into sewerage systems on site. 
  9. Carshare or catch the bus! Reduce your impact before you get on site!
  10. The Bubble operates a “Leave No Trace” philosophy. 
  11. BurstYourBubble – educate yourself, encourage others and join us!

 

The Bubble Camping Policy  

  1. “Leave No Trace” Clean your campsite. ‘Pack out what you pack in!’
  2. Reduce packaging at source. No disposables in the camping please!
  3. Everything is compostable! Cups(yes cups!),plates and food into compost!
  4. Bring your own container/flask/mug for food and drinks in the festival.
  5. Bring large water containers for the camping, less plastic, less arm ache!
  6. Use the right bins in the festival site. Your resources will be recycled!
  7. Cigarette ends go into the butt bins!
  8. Plastic or glass bottles are not permitted to be brought on site!
  9. All cleaning or washing products used on site must be biodegradable.
  10. Any used water only goes into sewerage systems on site. 
  11. Bring recycling and black bags. Take them to the civic amenity site when you leave!

The Bubble Food Vendor Policy

 

Commitments:

 

  • To do all you can to make conscious food decisions
  • To put an emphasis on products free from chemicals, colourings, preservatives, additives, GMO,s, and pesticides
  • To buy, wherever possible organic produce or at least local farmers that also put an emphasis on the above
  • To have at minimum vegan and vegetarian options, but ideally a full vegan or vegetarian menu
  • To use, wherever possible dairy/eggs from organic/local farmers
  • To reduce and minimize waste at all levels by not bringing packaging or disposables on site
  • To communicate to all vendees what is in your food and what benefit it is bringing to their body
  • To provide nutritional, conscious food with love to all who purchase from your food stall
